What Express Services will be available?
Checking out material, returning material, applying for and renewing library cards, as well as self-service photocopying, mobile printing, and scanning are all available. Visit the front desk for faxing services.
Can I use a computer?
Computer use is by appointment only. Melrose Park residents (60160 zip code) 16 years and older can make an appointment to use a computer (phone 708-649-7485 for appointments)
Will staff be able to help me on the computer?
No. Computer, photocopying, and printing are all self-service. Check out our how-to-signage and videos for instructions or use the chat feature on our website.
Will I be able to sit down in the library?
No. The only seating allowed will be at appointment-only computer stations.
Can I use the public bathroom?
Yes. The public bathrooms will be open.
Can I get a drink of water?
No. The drinking fountain will not be in service.
Can I bring food or drink into the library?
No, not at this time.
Will I need to socially distance?
Yes. You should strive to maintain a six-foot distance between yourself and others.
Do I need to wear a mask in the library?
Yes. Masks are required to be worn at all times in the library. If you have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, we will provide reasonable accommodation in the form of outdoor services.
Will my temperature be taken?
Yes. Everyone who enters the library will have their temperature taken. Anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will not be admitted to the library.

What are the library hours?
Beginning Tuesday, September 8:
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday – 9am-5pm
Tuesday & Thursday – 11am-7pm
Saturday -10am-2pm
Closed the last Saturday of the month and every Sunday
