Come one, come all to celebrate a lifetime of Kiddieland memories! What better place to hold a Kiddieland Tribute Event than the home of the Kiddieland sign?
The Melrose Park Public Library, in conjunction with the Kiddieland, Gone but Never Forgotten Committee, is planning to celebrate a lifetime of Kiddieland memories at the Melrose Park Public Library–the home of the iconic Kiddieland sign–on Friday, June 14, 2019 (5-9 p.m.).
Kiddieland Amusement Park operated in Melrose Park for eighty years (1929-2009) and is fondly remembered by generations of “kids of all ages.” Since 2012, the iconic Kiddieland sign has been on permanent display on the side of the Melrose Park Public Library.
This family-friendly event will feature the original Kiddieland Steam Engine, assorted memorabilia from the amusement park, distinguished guest speakers, raffles, delicious food from Los Comales, and more! Everyone is invited to enjoy an evening filled with nostalgia and guaranteed fun. As the original Kiddieland commercial said, “Bring your friends where the fun never ends!” Admission is free and food will be available at a minimum cost
